Merry Christmas!!!
Oh what a joyous day today is. I love Christmas because in my house its all about the family. Unfortunately, this year, our family is a little smaller. My brother and his girlfriend are up at her family's house for Christmas day, but they will be here tomorrow so thats good. Hannah and Megan went to Florida and Sacramento (respectively) with their boyfriends. Megan will be back on Friday or Saturday and Hannah will be back on Sunday. So TECHNICALLY, I get like four Christmases this year. Haha! :)
But my little sister, Mom, Clint, and I all had a great morning. I woke up early (as usual on Christmas) and had to just wait it out in my room. Normal. I watched movies and got the stockings all taken care of and then waited more. Clint came over around 9 or so, and we waited more. Finally, we went downstairs and Mom and Becca were getting breakfast ready, so I made them stop so we could open gifts. I love giving gifts SOOOO much more than getting them. No joke, I know that sounds very cliche, but its so true. My favorite thing is to watch someone open a gift from me. Clint seemed to love everything I got for him, so that was really special. I was very surprised with the gifts that he got me as well. I got a crap load of new DVDs. He had basically gone on Black Friday to WalMart I think, and just took over the DVD bins and bought them out, lol. He also got me a BEAUTIFUL necklace. I can't even begin to explain how amazing it is. He is just the best fiance I could ever ask for.
I just want to take this time to tell anyone that reads this how grateful I am for them. This time of year makes me appreciate and love everyone in my life so much more. I know I need to take the time throughout the year, instead of just at the end of the year, and express my love to everyone. Remember the true meaning of this season.

Thus far...
So its been over a month since I've last posted and man has a lot happened! Thanksgiving was great...my brother and his girlfriend came down from Chico to spend the weekend with us, but of course it was too short of a visit. It was nice having them here because it left me out of the Thanksgiving dinner making process...which I love cuz I'm not a great cook. I got to set the table! Hahah, that was fun.
Then came Black Friday. Now if anyone has been in the retail business EVER, you'll know that Black Friday is probably the most hated day in the business. Especially at Bed Bath and Beyond. We don't run sales ever, and that includes that Friday. We hand out a coupon (woohoo...) between 6 and 10 am for 20% off the purchase, but thats about it. Man we had some angry customers. Oh well, thats their fault for getting up and being around at 6 am. I had to be there at 6 that morning...oh joy. At least I didn't have to close for that day though. Its rough that night to close the store. But Black Friday of course ushers in the....HOLIDAY SEASON!! And that means - holiday shoppers. They are some of the rudest, most inconsiderate people I have EVER been around. WOW!!!! There really is no need for most of the crap that retail employees have to endure because some person is so mean. For example, a woman came into the store today to return some cups she had "purchased over the summer." Now, I use quotes because she is a liar. Plain and simple (hahah). So she swore up and down that she had purchased them at our store and demanded her money back because they had cracked. No one recognized them as ours and so we passed that to our store manager Steve, who echoed us. He went and found a similar cup and proceeded to tell the customer, "I'm sorry ma'am, but this is not from our store. This is the closest we have to something like that and unfortunately we do not, and have never carried that cup." Before he could say ANYTHING else, this customer just went off on Steve. Now I should probably have said this customer was not young...I would guess she was in her 60's or 70's. I couldn't believe some of the things that she said next. I don't even want to repeat most of them. But basically it was something about how horrible our store was, she's never coming back in here again, your attitude and tone is *bleep* not good...etc. In front of a store full of customers and associates. Then she ran out of the store. And I had myself a good laugh because, who does that? Seriously. If she had shut her mouth and listened to Steve for literally 2 more seconds, he would have taken care of her and she would have been happy and we would have lost money (like normal). Whatever. Holiday shoppers suck.
So we are 12 days away from Christmas and I couldn't be happier. My little sister is coming home tonight (she should be here very soon) and I will be surrounded by my loved ones. The holiday season just makes me smile because of everything that it represents. It makes me think about Jesus and all that He did for me makes me happy to have the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life. What a blessed and wonderful thing!
